Amalia Michalek PA-C

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, before completing her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.

 

With a deep passion for acute care surgery and trauma, Amalia is dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients during some of their most challenging moments. She values being part of a collaborative, fast-paced surgical team that not only delivers critical interventions but also provides essential support and comfort. Taking the time to connect with patients, discuss their medical needs, and guide them through their healthcare journey is the most rewarding aspect of her work. 

 

Beyond the clinical aspect, Amalia believes that compassionate, patient-centered care is just as critical as technical expertise. She takes the time to listen, educate, and support patients and their families, helping them navigate their medical journey with confidence and understanding. Being able to sit down with patients, address their concerns, and provide reassurance during vulnerable times is what she finds most fulfilling about her role. Her goal is to not only aid in their physical recovery but also to provide the comfort and guidance that can make a difficult experience a little easier.
